Texture and pattern

There is currently no rhyme or reason behind the work i am doing. Trying to get back into the swing of things again after being absent for so long. Do you as an artist or creative person have long spells of doing nothing? Let me know. x

Summer Open Narberth

As you may have read on here, I entered three works into the Summer Open in Narberth in South Wales. The exhibition runs from the 5th to the 27th July so if you are in the area please go and support the artists at the Queens Hall Gallery. On the 22nd July, the works entered into the exhibition will be auctioned off. If you cannot attend the gallery please find details on how to bid and full list of works in this illustrated catalogue. Thank you

Does anyone know where I could get good quality but relatively low cost wrapping paper printed in the U.K please? I’ve looked at all sorts of web sites and its starting to give me a headache!!

Would really appreciate it if you could recommend somewhere please.

Cheers! x

I ordered myself one of my Ohh Deer Pillow Fight entries. It was the hairy suspenders that won out for myself. It just turned up. I really wanted my dad to pose with it so it looked as if he was wearing suspenders but he wasn’t having any of it! If you fancy one of my designs then you can find the links in the post below. Hope you’re all well. X

Moustache Card

I’ve cleaned this one up a bit and have now got it available in my✭ shop ✭

Going to work on some more one off pieces like the artist book that I did a post on before. Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in, I would be very grateful for any feedback.

Fathers day card

Made my own card this year. I wonder if im the only adult who spends their weekend making fathers day cards…at least I have something in common with my 5 yr old niece! Oh! and if your wondering why it is he has a gun and looks like a madman, its because he’s a farmer and likes to hunt a lot.

DSCN1267 DSCN1269

I love having a rummage through past work. Ive come to the conclusion that theres nothing better than having a look through what you’ve done in the past to clear your mind of a creative block. The first piece is about precious memories so for this I took some of my mothers baby clothes and dipped them in clay slip and then fired them. I didn’t mind actually that the shoe sort of cracked as it hinted at its fragility. The second was part of a group project in art school. We were supposed to create some sort of totem pole with all our different heads but we ran out of time on the module then. I love this head though as does my mother who has it sitting proudly in the front hall of the house.

The Sketchbook Project 2013

I decided to take part in the Sketchbook Project again. I loved being a part of it last year and had no hesitation in signing up again. I think if you are an art student out there it is a great experience to be a part of and would thoroughly recommend. I didn’t do my paper cut outs this time, I decided to show some of my typography. Hope you enjoy!
