Scribbling…..and boutique bird houses?

IMG_0429 IMG_0431 IMG_0432 IMG_0434

My dad had a mass of bird and bat boxes made so I nabbed a few and created some “art” on them. This is my fave though.

Doodles and What’s Coming Up

Haven’t been about on here for a while, been busy with the craft fairs and trying to motivate myself to do some new and interesting work – which is actually really quite difficult!

I entered this doodle into a colouring book competition…it did not make the final cut!All the PG things I drew never turned out right, so then I went a bit risqué. I love this doodle even if it didnt get chosen, I knew it wouldn’t but I was still glad I entered it.

In other news I have some wrapping paper being printed and it should be here within the week. I’m really looking forward to showing it to you all.

Hope you’re all well.

Damn it, even if it kills me!

I did this doodle a couple of weeks ago, I’m always looking out for open call exhibitions, competitions or something similar to take part in and came across the fantastic The Scribble Project run by Lisa Currie.

I’d been working on stuff to put on the stall for a while and felt like I needed a break away from that. I wanted to do something for myself for a change. So I found this blog where you could download and print off your own scribble sheet. The scribble sheet is Lisa’s own scribble/template which you can draw over, incorporate, pretty much whatever. I sent this into her and she said that she would be more that happy to feature it on the website. She’s away for a couple of months but hopefully she wont forget about me! 😟

I absolutely adore the work of Charlotte Mann. I was lucky enough to be able to get to interview her for my dissertation and she was a wealth of information. Sometimes, I over think things/ideas but I was looking at her work and I just though “go for it” so I did persevere and I’m quite happy with it. I tend to lose concentration if Im drawing something for a long time but I really enjoyed working on this. Its daunting when you know that something is going to be detailed but this was a joy.
