Christmas Stockings by…..Mama!

So here are some beautiful velvet stockings that my mother(Einir Vater) has made. Available in a wine/burgundy or olive green velvet. The green & cream stocking is made from a plain cotton. we took the photograph in our living room and it wasn’t until they were up that we really thought they were really quite something. They’re chunky and luxurious and even though quite traditional, they don’t interfere too much with whatever colour scheme you have going on with your Christmas decorations. Check out her shop

Creative wrapping

I may have gone slightly nuts with the creative wrapping of my nieces birthday present. I’m thinking way too much effort for a two year old who’s going to tear it to pieces but something I’ve ultimately really enjoyed doing. And I think I may continue with this for wrapping my Christmas presents, if nothing else people will realise who its from!

Here are some Welsh Christmas cards I had printed with one of my mono prints on them. I’m so pleased with how they turned out. If you’re interested in purchasing any you can find them in my Etsy shop. Thank you x

Paper Chains

Im getting myself into the Christmas spirit, I know that its only November but I really love this time of year, plus its the only thing that gets me through these dark nights coming earlier. I made some paper chains to decorate my room with. I remember doing mono printing when I was on my Foundation Art&Design course and loved it, so thought I’d use it for the design on the chains. Everyone has a favourite Christmas film, a film that really gets them in the mood. Well mine is Nightmare Before Christmas, I think its so charming and I always end up watching it around midnight on Christmas eve. Im huge Tim Burton fan in general and that was the inspiration behind the artwork on the paper chains.
